Each year NMA delivers a busy programme of events reflecting on events and personalities related to our maritime past, and 2025 was no exception.
We are very fortunate to be supported in our endeavours by a cohort of people with a myriad of diverse skills and expertise who offer their help in a voluntary capacity. We host a presentation event annually as a token of our appreciation.
We held our event in the Heritage Section of Newry City Library, courtesy of the Heritage Officer, Mr Chris Cassidy. Our latest model ships, Pine, Portadown and Ulidia, were on display along with a new information pop up commissioned from Michael McCaul Signs. We were pleased to welcome Newry native John McAleavey with his wife, Anne. John made and donated these bespoke models of Fisher fleet ships. We also welcomed Mr Dick McConnell to make the presentation to John.
We also wish to thank all our Corporate Members for their ongoing help and support. Without the aid of these businesses we could not deliver our annual schedule of events.
